Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald's said, "Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get."

Kroc was worth a real US$500,000,000 fortune by the time he passed away in 1984 and attributed his success to "luck" brought about by hard work. Even Susan Boyle wasn't an 'overnight' success. She spent years singing and honing her voice. Her hard work paid off when the world heard her sing. Some might call that 'luck'.
